Suzanne R. Sorkin, CFA rejoined Adelante Capital Management in July 2019 as Senior Vice President responsible for company specific research. She was previously with the firm in a similar capacity from April 2016 until February 2018. Ms. Sorkin has over 19 years of experience in the real estate investment industry. Prior to her career at Adelante, she held various positions on the buyside covering REITs including portfolio manager and senior analyst at APG Asset Management and analyst at Millennium. Ms. Sorkin also held the role of Vice President, Investor Relations and Financial, Planning & Analysis and Vice President, Aimco Investment Partners at Aimco, an S&P 500 listed multifamily real estate investment trust. Ms. Sorkin began her career in equity research at Morgan Stanley.

Ms. Sorkin graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. Ms. Sorkin currently serves on the investment committee for JEWISHcolorado.

Luis R. Sanchez is Senior Vice President, responsible for company-specific research and portfolio strategy. Mr. Sanchez joined the firm in April 2005. He has over 36 years of experience in the commercial real estate lending markets.

Prior to joining Adelante, Mr. Sanchez was a Principal at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company, LLC, a subsidiary of Prudential Financial. He received his B.S. in Architectural Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A from the University of Southern California.

Benjamin J. Yang, CFA, is a Senior Vice President responsible for company-specific research. Prior to joining Adelante Capital Management in September 2014, Mr. Yang covered the retail REIT sector at Evercore Partners, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods and Green Street Advisors. With over 25 years of experience he also authored capital markets research in the Investment Research Group at Wilshire Associates and was a summer associate at Merrill Lynch in high-yield credit research in the retail and apparel industries. Mr. Yang began his career as a pension actuary/consultant with William M. Mercer.

Mr. Yang is Emeritus member of the International Council of Shopping Centers North American Research Task Force and a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. He received his B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Boston University and M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
